I'M Old not Dead

About 13 years ago when I was the ripe old age of 51, some idiot told me that I was too old to work and should enjoy my retirement. First of all no one and I mean no one can tell me how long I should or should not work. I have been working since I was 16 and feel more than capable to continue to work a few more years until I put my alarm clock out to pasture plus I need the money !!! There has been a lot talk going around about how old a person should be to do their jobs from teaching ( what I do) to running the country . I agree that age is more than just a number but I thing the individual should do the dailing. I am a person who believes in individuality and free will and no one should tell anyone else what to do. The decision to work or not to work should be based on desire and productivity not age. President Joe Biden in 80 years old and many people in the nation think that he is too old to be the president. First of all President is 80 years old. He was the Vice President for 8 years, went into retirement and is now the president at the time he was and still is the best man for the job and better qualified just experience alone than all the people who are running for the office. Lets face it Joe Biden has legislative and excutive experience and served as the Attorney General of Deleware that is more than any other candidate for office ,including Donald Trump , and regardless how old he is he should be taken seriously and not the butt of jokes from both sides especially the Democratic party who begged him to run in 2020 and is now telling him and Vice president Harris to back off because the party is afraid because that the Republicans can win in 2024 if they do it will be a miracle because the Republicans are disorganized and at each throats . Their leading candidate is a Fox News infomercial and the second lead should be on The View not in the White House. Age and mental capacity may have nothing to do with one another. There are young senial men and old sharp ones. Age is not just a number but it should not be a sterotype either . Robert Burns said a man is a man and all that which in my mind means each person to their own not based on time on earth but time in grade. An older leader like Joe Biden is being judged by his time on the earth and not his time as a leader. From being a lawyer to the Attorney General of Delaware to the Senate to the Vice Presidency to the Presidency, joe Biden has been a decisive leader who makes decisions on current needs not nostalgic ones . His decisions annd choices are better than people half his age because he has lived loved and lost.
